No Church In A While is telling people there's still hope. God is waiting for everybody to tap back in. This album is for everybody who ain't been to church or connected to God in a while who thinks they can't go back. "We just went through the pandemic, and ain't nobody been to church in a minute. " No Church In A While has all types of meanings," explains 1K Phew. Out of his conversations with 1K Phew came the idea to record an album for people who, like themselves, hadn't been to church in a while. Lecrae was recording his mixtape, Church Clothes 4, when it occurred to him that people actually hadn't been to church to even put on those church clothes because of the pandemic, church hurt, and other reasons.
The concept for their collaborative album grew out of conversations between Lecrae and 1K Phew. The album features ten tracks, including "Wildin," "Ready Or Not," and "One Call." “ You can’t force anybody to follow your way, but you can keep it 1000, come as you are and watch God bring them to you.Lecrae and 1K Phew recently released their new collaborative album, No Church In A While. The story I’m telling is how I overcame my obstacles,” shares 1K Phew. My message is faith, hope and encouraging people to be their authentic self in Christ. Recently awarded Rap/Hip Hop Album of the Year at the 37th Annual Stellar Awards for his collaborative album with Lecrae, 'No Church In A While', 1K Phew has also been nominated alongside Lecrae for a 2022 Dove Award in the categories of "Rap/Hip-Hop Album of The Year" ('No Church In A While') and "Rap/Hip-Hop Song" of the Year for " Wildin", a song on the album. Although I went to church all my life, I thought I could do everything without God. " I grew up in the church, but was lured into the streets. " A lot of people think you got to put on for the church and even for the streets, but you can really come as you are," he explains.
